Congratulations to our super bear winners!

January's Super Bear trait was Tolerance.  Tolerance means all people are given the same rights even if they do not think the same way you do or look like you. Celebrate all of our beautiful differences.
Our Super Bear winners do a great job of showing tolerance towards others.

Dear 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade RNE Families,
We have a fantastic memory-making music experience coming up on January 30 and we would like YOU to be a part of it. Roswell North third, fourth and fifth grade students are invited to sing the National Anthem at an Atlanta Gladiators game at the Duluth Infinite Energy Center on January 30!
What Roswell North students get in return: Each singer will get a free ticket to the game! Roswell North Music Department will receive a portion of family ticket sales to help purchase supplies and instruments for instruction and performances. The coolest part is that we get to make a great memory together through music.
What we need from families:
  1. Sign students up to participate using this Sign Up Genius link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0949A9A723A7FC1-national or you can email me directly at scogginske@fultonschools.org.
  2. Purchase tickets online for attending friends and family members of the singers. Website to purchase tickets: groups.atlantagladiators.com Use code: RN2019
  3. You will need to transport your singer to the Infinite Energy Center. We will meet at the doors at 6:30 that night when the arena opens.
  4. After students are put in their performing places, you are free to find your seats and get settled.
  5. After the National Anthem, you will come and get your excited performer to watch with you as much of the game as you wish. =)
  6. Want to help? We need one chaperone for every ten participating singers to stay with us during the performance and to help students get back to families. You can also sign up at the signup genius link under “chaperone.”
If you would like to participate and need to purchase tickets personally and not online, please contact Ms. Scoggins directly at scogginske@fultonschools.org.
Thank you!

In January we will discuss how to have a growth mindset. In K-3rd students will learn how to stretch and bend their thinking. They will learn how to go from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. Books that will go along with the lesson are “Bubble Gum Brain”. In 4th and 5th students will focus on perseverance and positive thinking. They will also explore “Famous Failures”. If we do not make mistakes we can not grow!
